The idea behind PlushChat
A plush companion we spoke to as children can still hold years of memories, even after we stop talking to it. PlushChat began with the wish to make room for those conversations again, drawing on the attachment that is already there.
Keep the familiar character
We aim to respect a companion’s familiar appearance rather than replace its face with new expressions. PlushChat is designed for adults and their treasured plush toys or dolls.
Begin with your imagination
You choose a name, memories and a speaking style; AI generates the words. The toy does not become conscious. Responses can be mistaken and may not always follow your preferences.
Make room for everyday life
Our design aims to avoid possessiveness or guilt that pressures people to keep using the app, and to respect relationships and life outside it. PlushChat does not guarantee medical or psychological benefits or safety.
